Daycare workers do so much! They clean up other people's snotty noses all day, change dirty diapers, dry tears when someone gets a boo-boo, read stories, dance crazy dances, pat backs at nap time, foster children's creativity during art. They become a human jungle gym, a drill sergeant in the hallways, a police officer on the playground, and a cheerleader every time a child does something worthy of praise. They are great at cuddling and giving hugs. They know how to set good boundaries too!
In short, they are my child's "other mothers" helping her learn about the world around her and the One who created it all. They shape my daughter's view of the world just as my beliefs and actions do.
So to show some love on Valentine's Day, I decided to make them some special cupcakes! Of course it's from Pinterest. The pin led back to THIS website for the recipe. Basically it's a brownie on bottom, strawberry cake on top and then topped off with cream cheese icing. My picture of the cupcake isn't nearly as fabulous as hers but it was 2:30 a.m. when I finally finished and I was too tired to get out my flash, etc. Hopefully this will be good enough. I made the tags in Illustrator and got the idea from THIS website via Pinterest.
(without my daughter's name on them of course)
Then I found these super cute preserve jars at Hobby Lobby to put the cupcakes in. Glassware was 50% off that day! Woohoo!
I think they are cute and they didn't kill my pocketbook! The teachers liked them and that's all that really matters, right? :0) I hope they know they were baked with love and created out of complete appreciation! Happy Valentine's Day Y'all!
