INGREDIENTS:
Oranges
Lemons
Ground Nutmeg
Ground Cinnamon
Whole Allspice
Whole Cloves
Cinnamon Sticks
Snack Baggies
Parchment Paper
* A word of advice, if you are making more than 3 packets...go to Sam's and get the BIG containers of spices. I ended up spending way more than I wanted having to go back to the store to get more little containers.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
2. Place parchment paper on cookie sheets.
4. Put them in the oven for one hour.
5. Flip the slices and bake them for another hour.
6. Check them, if they are still too moist, flip them over and go another half hour. Do this until they are very thin and dry.
7. While you are waiting, grab your spices and baggies. To each baggie, add 5 cinnamon sticks, 3 Tablespoons of whole cloves, 2 Tablespoons of Whole allspice, 1 Tablespoon of ground nutmeg, and 1 Tablespoon of ground cinnamon. Seal those baggies and set aside.
9. When they are cooled off completely, place them in separate baggies. Put 2 orange slices and 3 lemon slices in each bag.
10. Now put a spice bag and a fruit bag into whatever container you choose. I found these Halloween baggies at Hobby Lobby for 50% off.
11. You will also want to include directions for how to use the packets. Personalize however you wish! (I never take myself too seriously and I'm pretty sure that is reflected in our family snapshot! haha) Tuck those into your packets as well.
Hopefully, the teachers will enjoy the fragrance throughout their homes during this fun holiday season!!! Here it is all put together!
